Hello fellow pilgrims.
I'm Kip White from Saint Mary Magdalene Episcopal Church in Boulder, Colorado, and I'll be rounding up bloggers to add their thoughts to the trip. We're down to passports and packing with several All Saints-by-the-Sea folks already in the middle east and the rest of us leaving in a few days.
Keep your eye on the website, because starting March 22, it will include daily meditations from a booklet Fr. Mike has made for the trip. And check out the Google Earth maps on the website, it's like flying to each day's sites with us!.

This is one of my favorite parts of any trip, the last minute planning and piecing together of what I need to take.
ReplyDeleteAt this point, the biggest planning is how to make sure I have adequate coverage for my projects back at work, since I'll be gone for 11 work days. At Redspin, we provide Penetration Testing to help companies know where they are vulnerable to being hacked through their public exposure to the Internet and remote access. We've had a very good start to 2009 which means we're all very busy.
However, I know I'll be sharper in my work if I take some time to relax. For me, relaxing will mean finding an connection to the Internet everyday to make sure nothing I'm working on hits a speed bump!!
Some would say checking in on work is not the way to relax. It reminds me of the '70s when everyone said you should dress the way you wanted to dress. However, if you dressed conventionally, those same people complained! Same with this, I relax by knowing what's going on rather than wondering what's going on.
